About
Living Memories C.I.C.

What do you do?

We use 20th century archive films and newsreels to help older people, including those living with dementia and other long-term conditions, to trigger memories which stimulate communication with family, friends and neighbours.

Online Streaming – Our new Living Memories Online archive film streaming service of almost 3000 archive programmes in care homes across the UK. A 5 minute example of a reminiscence group in action can be viewed at: https://livingmemories.imagencloud.com/record/2550. Our platform can also be used at home as well as in Memory Cafes, care and residential homes, hospitals, Community Health & Wellbeing Hubs, church and community groups, etc..

DVDs with Reminiscence Guides – Creating/publishing an ongoing series of topic-based DVDs, each with a 30+ page Reminiscence Guide to be used one-to-one or with groups. Many older people still use DVDs, but not the internet.

Tea & Memories Community Groups – We encourage the formation of our award-winning Tea & Memory community reminiscence groups in care homes and community groups at which older people meet regularly to watch several archive films and then chat over tea, coffee and biscuits about memories triggered by the films.

Who would you like to collaborate with?

Local organisations who work with older adults.
