The Community Waffle House CIC is a 100% not-for-profit organisation that was set-up with the aim of helping to form friendships in the local community in a bid to reduce the impact of loneliness and unwantedness.
Using their Waffle House as a community base on the high-street, we do that by focusing on everyday conversations, as we know that every friendship starts with an (often slightly awkward) interaction.
As a result, everything we do from schools’ workshops to gardening, Lego club to tech support is geared around developing the art of, and creating opportunities for, conversation.
We currently run fifteen community projects with a wide range of volunteering roles available. We try to tailor our volunteering roles around your passions as much as possible!
