Training Opportunity

Volunteer Recruitment, Management, Workload, Supervision & Wellbeing

Blackdown House, Honiton

We’re celebrating Volunteer Week in June with this free deep dive session relevant to VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations, delivered by experienced trainers from Devon Communities Together.

Do you find it hard to recruit volunteers? Expand your skills in recruitment, induction and training for volunteers at your organisation.

Participants will leave this workshop with more confidence about how to recruit, different volunteer role descriptions and tools for all aspects of volunteer management, including motivation & wellbeing, organising, workloads & supervision and support.

What will the training include?

  • Discover different ways to recruit volunteers for your voluntary organisation, community group or social enterprise
  • Explore recruitment initiatives e.g. online platforms, local advertising and community events and what makes a good role description.
  • Access templates and information about induction and training processes
  • How to manage your volunteers and how to better ensure they are motivated, supported and their wellbeing is improved.
  • How to organise and supervise volunteers and their workload.

Refreshments from 12.00-13.00, networking opportunities with other attendees and access to 1-2-1 support from the trainers.

This training is funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund.

Don’t forget our ACED Volunteer of the Year Award is now open for nominations to celebrate the outstanding contributions and commitment of our dedicated volunteers in the East Devon creative sector.
